Slide-in Café range/oven (30" induction) − How to use precision cooking with a Cue pan

You may use a Hestan Cue 11" fry pan with a Café range to cook with precise temperatures and smart cooking functions.

The steps below will allow you to cook guided recipes from the Hestan Cue app. Alternatively, you can use the knobs to set your own temps and cook your own personal recipes.

Your Hestan Cue pan should already be paired with the Hestan Cue app and Café range before you can cook using smart cooking functions. This is typically completed the very first time you start the Hestan Cue app, after which point you get prompted to pair with a Café range. If you haven't done so, or need to revisit that screen, simply navigate to your Hestan Cue "profile" located towards the bottom right of the screen. Then choose the "Add Cue Hardware" option and follow the steps until the app prompts you to pair with the Café range

To use the smart cooking functions of your Hestan Cue pan and/or app:

  1. Turn the first knob on the left so that the "Precision Cooking" option is selected. The knob light should turn on and the front panel display will prompt you to activate your pan.

  2. To activate your pan, double tap on the pan handle. When activation is successful you'll see the following message on the display: "Use app or knob to set precision cooking temp."

  3. If using the Hestan Cue app, you're all set. Just follow the in app prompts to continue with the guided recipe.
Otherwise, you can turn the knob on your Café range to set your desired temperature and cook your own home recipes.
TIP: When cooking your own recipes (not using the Hestan Cue app), the front panel will display the final target temperature and not the current/actual temperature of the pan. Once your desired temperature has been achieved, you'll hear an audible chime/ding.

  4. When you are finished cooking, set the knob to the "off" position.
