Why does my burner turn off by itself (when I shake my pan/cookware)?

It's possible to activate the buttons on your burner simply by sliding your cookware "too close" to the burner controls.

Since Cue burners use "capacitive touch" technology, you don't need to physically "push down" on the controls to activate them. Also, if you're standing too close to the burner, some types of clothing fabric could activate the controls as well.
Please make sure that you keep cookware centered on the burner during cook sessions and that you are standing at least 8 inches away from the burner. If you need to "shake the pan" or slide it back and forth, please try not to do it directly over the burner controls.
As a work-around, try rotating the burner so that the controls are off to the side or in the back. That way, when you shake or slide the pan. you lessen the chance of accidently triggering the burner controls and causing an accidental power-off.
