A hot sugar spill should be cleaned quickly. Should a hot sugar spill occur, turn off cooptop and remove cookware. Carefully scrape off the spill using an oven mitt and scraper while still hot, but take caution not to scratch the cooktop glass. Use extreme caution to prevent injury.
If sugar is allowed to cool, it will harden and become very difficult to remove.
