Yes, oil and food splatter should be expected on any appliance used to cook food. Each Hestan Cue recipe is crafted by a chef on our culinary team. The recipes they develop often require high heat to get a desired cooking outcome which would be impractical or impossible to get at lower heat settings. As it turns out, oil and food splatter is a natural outcome of this cooking technique, and there’s no method to prevent it while maintaining the desired cooking result. Do not cover the cookware with a lid as doing so will significantly change the cooking outcome. Using a splatter guard will reduce the amount of splatter, but may also change the cooking outcome and is therefore not recommended.
