Troubleshooting Android: Cue burner or cookware (pan/pot) isn't detected and can't be paired with

Date: 4/18/2019

Problem: The Cue burner or Cue cookware (e.g. the pan) is not detected within the Hestan Cue app and it can't be paired with or "added".

Cause: The "location tracking" or "location services" setting within the Android OS is disabled. It must be enabled.

Solution: Exact steps differ from one Android version to another. In general, try the following: Navigate to your Android OS "Settings" ---> security and location. ---> privacy --->location ---> ENABLE

After this, please try using the Hestan Cue app again to complete the setup process. Your Cue burner should now be detected and you should be able to add it to your account like normal.

Alternate: If problems persist, try "pairing" with the device within the Android OS temporarily, then unpair. Navigate back to the Cue app and see if the device is now detectable. This is not typically the correct workflow (you should never "pair" within your Android OS Bluetooth settings screen), but for certain devices it may be necessary.
