Will I still be able to use my Hestan Cue cooktop and cookware after the app is sunset?

After July 21, 2025, if you own the Hestan Cue cooktop and cookware, you will no longer be able to use them with any "smart" functions or for any "guided" recipes.  This is because all smart cooking functions and guided recipes are hosted by the Hestan Cue app. 

  • The Hestan Cue app will no longer load or function, even if it remains installed on your device.
  • It will be removed from app stores and unavailable for download.
  • All guided recipes and content within the app will be fully discontinued and no longer accessible — even for viewing.


However, the Hestan Cue cooktop and cookware can be used in manual mode so you can cook your own home recipes. Stated another way, no "smart" cooking functions would be available in manual mode. Also note that the Hestan Cue cooktop can be used to heat most induction-compatible cookware


Please note: If you own a Cue compatible GE Appliances heat source such as a GE Profile, Café, or Monogram, you can still use your Cue cookware with the GE Appliances SmartHQ™ app and with Precision Cooking functionality. However, guided recipes will no longer be available as those are only available on the Hestan Cue app.
