Yes. An active internet connection via WiFi is required in order to use the Hestan Cue app. Cue cooktops and cookware may need a firmware (software) update via the internet before they can be used for the first time. The Cue app will continue to use the internet to access recipes, videos, and other multimedia which all get streamed on demand.
Tip: After applying firmware updates, you can use Hestan Cue without internet access in manual (offline) mode (but without smart functions or guided recipes).
